![]() Memories of Mary's generosity, easy laughter, and kind heartedness will be deeply treasured by all those who loved her.Ī Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Friday, May 12 at 10 a.m. She had a heart of gold and always genuinely wished the best for others. She was a fabulous cook and her meals were legendary! But more than anything else Mary was a people person who loved spending time with family and her many friends. Generous and nurturing, Mary enjoyed nothing more than feeding others. During her life she enjoyed golfing, trips with friends, watching cooking shows, and rooting for her beloved Red Sox. Mary worked for many years at Stop & Shop and was known for her warm smile and friendliness toward everyone. She married her lifelong love Mike in 1958, and they resided in Natick for over 60 years until recently moving to Lubbock. Mary was raised in Newton, Mass., and graduated from Newton High School in 1954. She was an awesome "Grammie" to her grandkids, who she loved "to the moon and back": Brett Winegarner and his wife Chasity, Matthew and Maria Leppanen, Elijah Bravo and the late JR Bravo, and her great-grandchildren Brady and Beckett Winegarner. Mary was the devoted wife of her husband of 64 years, the late Mike O'Brien devoted daughter of her late mother, Philomena DelGrosso loving sister to Rose DelGrosso and a wonderful mother to her three daughters: Brenda Winegarner and husband Verlan of Lubbock, Debbie Leppanen and husband Peter of Norwell, Mass., and Sandy Bravo and husband Mike of Natick. ![]() Mary (DelGrosso) O'Brien, 86, formerly of Natick, Mass., passed away in Lubbock, Texas on March 14, 2023.
